Board workflows, automation chains, and GitLab
Set how tasks move, chain your automations, and link GitLab merge requests to tasks.
This release adds board workflows, automations you build as a chain, and GitLab, plus custom fields on task cards.
Workflows for boards
You can now decide which statuses a task is allowed to move between and where new tasks can start. Drag and drop, the task card, and automations all follow the same rules, so work stays on the path your team agreed on. Boards without a workflow behave exactly as before.
Automations as a chain
An automation can now be a chain of a trigger, conditions, and actions on a canvas, with Yes and No branches. Convert an existing rule in one click and keep editing it there. Changes go live when you publish, and the current version keeps running until then.
GitLab
Connect GitLab.com or your own GitLab server in App Center. A merge request, branch, or commit that mentions a task key links to that task automatically, and the same works for GitHub pull requests, branches, and commits. Automations can react when a merge request is opened, merged, or closed.
Bug fixes and improvements
- Custom fields on cards. Choose per board in Appearance which custom fields, blockers, and blocked tasks appear on task cards.
- Column colors. Give board columns their own color so stages are easy to tell apart.
- Automations from AI assistants. The Vaiz AI chat, Claude, and other connected assistants can create and publish automation chains.
- Clear a shared value. When several tasks are selected, click an assignee, type, or milestone they all share to remove it from every task.
- Replace a payment method. Swap the saved payment method without removing it first.
- Unassignment notices. Notifications now say plainly that you were unassigned from a task.
- Clear search. The clear button in board search works again.
- Documents on small screens. Document text no longer runs off the edge on narrow screens.
