Workflow conditions, smarter queries, and a compact task view

Vaiz 3.104 adds conditions to workflow transitions, comparison operators to queries, and a more compact task view with unified task links.

Conditions for workflow transitions

Workflows already decide which status a task can move to. Now each transition can also have a condition written as a Smart List query, for example requiring an assignee and filled custom fields before a task reaches "Ready for release". If the condition isn't met, the task stays where it is and Vaiz shows what's missing.

Comparison and empty checks in queries

Queries now support operators such as greater than, less than, empty, and not empty. Find tasks with a number above a threshold, a date before a deadline, or a field nobody filled in, and combine these checks with your other filters. They work the same in Smart List filters and in workflow conditions.

A more compact task view

The task view has less padding and visual noise, so more of the task fits on screen. Blockers, blocked tasks, and related tasks now share one control, and you can set or change the parent task right from the task view.

Bug fixes and improvements

  • Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The interface is now available in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
  • Language on sign-in. Pick your interface language on the sign-in and sign-up pages, before you log in.
  • Support chat. Message the Vaiz team right from the profile menu or the billing menu.
  • Billing address. Workspace owners can view and edit the billing address on the Payment Methods page.
  • Vaiz JSON import. Custom import is now called Vaiz JSON import and handles large files up to 200 MB more reliably.
  • Self-managed GitLab behind an access gateway. Connect a GitLab instance protected by a service such as Cloudflare Access, and links open at the address your team uses.
  • AI credit alerts. Owners get an Inbox notification and an email when credits run low, run out, or an automatic top-up fails.
  • Start from a template. Signing up from a template page opens the new board dialog with that template already selected.
  • Automation limits. Runs are counted correctly when several tasks are completed at once.
  • Due dates on completed tasks. Finished tasks no longer look overdue.
  • Workflow settings. Deleting the only transition no longer breaks the workflow editor.
