Multihoming, task templates, and AI-assisted onboarding

This release introduces tasks that belong to multiple boards, reusable task templates, AI-assisted setup for game development teams, and a central view of publicly shared content.

One task across multiple boards

Multihoming lets a single task belong to multiple boards and projects. Add it wherever your team needs it, with the same state, priority, comments, and attachments available in every location. There’s no need to create copies or keep duplicate tasks up to date.

The public rollout is scheduled for September 28, 2026. After launch, Multihoming will replace the existing Move to board action, letting you update where a task belongs without removing it from its current context.

Reusable task templates

Task Templates let you save a repeatable setup and use it whenever you create a task. Create a template from scratch or save an existing task as one, including its title, description, priority, status, type, custom fields, checklists, subtasks, and default assignee. Relative dates, such as three days after creation, make deadlines reusable too.

Every value is a default you can override when creating the task. Choose the destination board or folder at that point, so the same template works across different contexts within your space. Templates use your space’s existing custom fields, and each task created from a template is independent: later template edits won’t change it.

AI-assisted onboarding for game development teams

The new onboarding flow helps game development teams start with a board tailored to their project. Enter your role, project name, game engine, target platforms, development stage, and team setup, with an optional list of tasks to include.

The AI agent prepares a board with Backlog, In Sprint, and Done groups; Programming, Art, Design, and QA task types; plus custom fields, milestones, and tasks. Review the preview, confirm it, and your new board opens ready to use.

Shared links in one place

The new Shared page in Space Settings lists tasks and documents with an active public sharing link. Each entry shows the item’s type, a linked title, who enabled sharing, and when it was enabled.

Space owners and managers can see all shared items they have access to. Members and guests see only items for which they enabled sharing themselves. The list loads the first 50 items and continues loading as you scroll.

Bug fixes and improvements

• Smart List. Tasks belonging to multiple boards now display correctly.
• Location. Archived projects no longer appear in the Location field.
• Task hierarchy privacy. Parent task details and related information stay hidden when you don’t have access, matching the existing behavior for inaccessible subtasks.
