How to create a link to a document or task in Vaiz

Sharing information in Vaiz is easier when you use direct links. Instead of explaining where to find a task or document, you can copy its link and send it to teammates. This saves time and keeps collaboration clear and straightforward.

Open the project and click on the “Task card” you want to share to open its details.

In the task header, click the link icon.

You can also click the task ID (for example, PRJ-1) next to the title — this opens a small menu where you can choose how to copy the link:

  • Only ID — just the task ID.
  • Only link — the direct URL.
  • Plain text — the task name and link in plain text.
  • Markdown — ready to paste into markdown documents.
  • For Slack — formatted link for sharing in Slack.

Alternatively, copy the URL directly from your browser’s address bar.

In the left sidebar, open “Space docs” or “Personal docs” and select the document.

In the document header, click the link icon to copy its link.

Cross-linking inside Vaiz

You can also create internal links between tasks and documents directly within Vaiz. To do that type @ inside a document or task comment — and you’ll see a menu where you can mention:

  • Members,
  • Documents,
  • Tasks,
  • Milestones.

Selecting a task or document automatically adds a clickable link right in your text. This helps you connect related items and navigate easily between them without leaving your current page.

Notes on access

  • Links don’t change permissions. The recipient must already have access to the project or document. If the link doesn’t open for them, check sharing settings or confirm their membership.
  • You can also copy links to documents and tasks from History. To do this, click the desired item to open it, then copy the link from the top.
