How to move tasks between boards in Vaiz
Move a task to another board when the work belongs in a different workflow or project area. You can start the move from the board or from inside the task.
Step 1. Open the board
Select the required space, open the project, and choose the board that contains the task you want to move.

Step 2. Move a task from the board
Hover over the task and click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the task card.
Select Move to board, choose the destination board, and then select the group where the task should appear.

In the confirmation window, read the warning, then click Confirm to complete the move.

The task will appear in the selected group on the destination board.

Note: Moving a task to a different board can clear some fields if they don't exist on the target board. After the move, open the task and complete any missing fields.

Step 3. Change the board from the Location field
You can also move a task from its details panel. Open the task and find the Location field.
The current board appears in the middle of the location path. Click its name and select another board from the list. The task moves automatically.

Step 4. Move a task from the task menu
Another option is available through the task menu. Open the task, click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner, and select Move to board.
Choose the destination board, then select the required group.

Step 5. Check tasks with subtasks
When a parent task has subtasks, moving it to another board does not move the subtasks with it.

The subtasks are detached from the parent and remain on the original board as standalone tasks.

Moving the parent task back to its original board does not restore the previous relationship. The detached items remain independent tasks and must be linked again manually if needed.
