How to duplicate a task in Vaiz
Duplicating a task is a quick way to reuse an existing task without creating everything from scratch. The new task keeps the original structure and most of its properties, so you only need to update the details that are different.
Step 1. Open the board with the task
Open the space, project, and board that contains the task you want to duplicate.

Step 2. Duplicate a task from the board
Hover over the task and click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the task card.
Select Duplicate task, then choose the group where you want to place the copy.

Step 3. Duplicate a task from the task view
Open the task and click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Duplicate task, then choose the destination group.

Step 4. Review the duplicated task
The duplicated task appears immediately in the selected group. Its name is automatically prefixed with (Copy), but you can rename it at any time.

The duplicate keeps most task information, including:
- Title
- Description
- Assignees
- Types
- Priority
- Start and due dates
- Milestones
- Cover image
- Custom fields
The task description is copied as a separate document, so changes made to the duplicate do not affect the original task.
The following items are not copied:
- Comments
- Subtasks
- Completed and archived status
- Blocking and blocker relationships
Note: Deleted tasks cannot be duplicated.
