How to set task and subtask priorities in Vaiz

Task priorities help you indicate which work should be completed first. In Vaiz, you can set or update a priority for both tasks and subtasks in just a few clicks.

Step 1. Set a task priority from the board

You don't need to open a task to assign or change its priority. Hover over the task card on the board. Additional controls will appear, including the + icon and the three-dot menu.

Click the + icon, select Set priority, and choose one of the available options: High, Medium, Low, or Default.

You can also open the three-dot menu on the task card and select Set priority from there. This menu provides the same priority options, along with additional task actions.

Step 2. Set a priority inside a task

Open the task and click the Priority field. Select the required priority from the list.

Note: The new priority is applied immediately. You don't need to save the changes manually.

Step 3. Set a priority for a subtask

Open the parent task and scroll to the Subtasks section. In the table, click the double-chevron icon to choose the appropriate priority level.

Tip: Use High priority sparingly. When everything is marked as high priority, nothing stands out. Reserve it for truly urgent or blocking work so your team always knows what to focus on first.
