How to create a project in Vaiz


Projects help you keep related work in one place. Create a project to organize tasks, documents, boards, dashboards, and project activity around a specific initiative or team.

Step 1. Open the space where you want to create a project

In the top-left corner, click the space icon to open the space menu. Select the space where you want to create the project.

Step 2. Create a new project

To create a new project, click Add project in the Projects section.

You can also create a project from the Projects menu by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Add project.

Step 3. Start the project setup

A welcome screen will appear with a short overview of the project creation process.

Click Start creating to continue.

Step 4. Set up project details and appearance

In the New Project window, enter a project name. A slug will be generated automatically, but you can edit it if needed. You can also add a description to help teammates understand the project's purpose.

To customize the project, click the appearance button next to the project name field. You can choose a project color from the Colors tab.

You can also switch to the Icons tab and select a different icon for the project.

When everything is ready, click Create project.

Step 5. Add project members

Enter the names or email addresses of the teammates you want to add to the project.

Click Add members to continue.

Note: You can skip this step by clicking Skip and add members later.

Step 6. Open the project

After the project is created, click Open project to start working in it.

Step 7. Manage project settings

The left sidebar uses the project's selected color, helping you quickly identify which project is currently open.

To update settings, open Project Settings from the left sidebar. Here you can change the project name, slug, description, color, and icon. You can also archive the project if it is no longer needed.

Note: Projects cannot be deleted and can only be archived.

Step 8. Show or hide projects in the sidebar

Open the Projects menu and click Select projects to display.

In the window that opens, use the toggle next to each project to show or hide it in the sidebar.

You can also change the project order by dragging a project using the six-dot handle on the left.

Step 9. View project history

Project history is also available for every project. To view it, open History in the project sidebar.
